Design, construction and applications
Design and construction
- Compliant with ISO 5199 standards for process pumps
- Horizontal, axial-suction design with flanged rotor coupling that decouples the motor from the pump
- The solid-body construction allows quick access to internal components without disconnecting the suction or discharge piping
- Optimum hydraulic efficiency
- Double-envelope casing with reinforced thermoplastic thickness, ensuring dimensional stability and outstanding leak protection
- Support feet integrated into the casing for additional safety and reliability
Applications
- Chemical and petrochemical industries: transfer of acids, bases and solvents
- Water and wastewater treatment (WWTP): dosing of chemical reagents
- Surface treatment and electroplating: handling of chemical baths and rinse waters
- Mining and metal processing: transport of slurries and effluents
- Fertiliser and acid production: reliable operation with corrosive fluids and high duty cycles
Mechanical seal options
The BV Series can be fitted with a wide range of mechanical seals to ensure compatibility with corrosive and demanding fluids.
Single internal mechanical seal
PTFE / Ceramic. Standard solution for the majority of chemical applications.
Single external mechanical seal
PTFE / Graphite. For applications with suspended particles or viscous fluids.
Double mechanical seal
PTFE / Silicon Carbide. Maximum safety for hazardous or toxic fluids.
The choice of mechanical seal is engineered to relieve stresses in the plastic cavity, extending service life and enhancing reliability under extreme corrosive conditions.
