Motor Pumps – BX Series
Compact plastic centrifugal motor pumps with mechanical seal
The BX Series are close-coupled plastic motor pumps designed for reliable transfer and circulation of corrosive and abrasive liquids in compact installations. Built from solid thermoplastics, they combine high chemical resistance with a simplified, space-saving design for continuous industrial duty. BX pumps use a mechanical seal, with multiple configurations available to match the chemical and thermal profile of each application.

Design and Construction
- Close-coupled, single-stage, end-suction centrifugal pump (monobloc).
- Mechanical seal seating without strain on the plastic body, protecting the casing from deformation.
- Mechanical-seal cover prevents any corrosive dispersion, improving safety and cleanliness.
- Removable shaft sleeve, independent from the impeller, for fast servicing.
- Torque transmission by key and large-surface steel core, ensuring rigidity and stable operation.
- Solid plastic hydraulics for dimensional stability and corrosion resistance.
- Compliance: CE (Machinery Directive) and ISO 9001 quality system; ATEX versions available.
Performance and Range
- Flow rate: up to 14 m³/h (≈ 62 gpm) (model-dependent)
- Head: up to 20 mcl (≈ 65 ft) (model-dependent)
- Operation: continuous duty, low vibration monobloc layout
- Connections: flanges per DIN 2501 / PN-16 or ANSI B16.5 150 lbs (availability by size); other options on request.
Mechanical Seal Options
SF: single external with bellow
DE: double external mechanical seal
IP: internal single (SiC/SiC)
IF: internal single (PTFE/Ceramic)
Selection according to fluid, temperature and duty profile.

Applications
- Chemical & pharmaceutical: acids, alkalis, solvents; transfer and circulation lines
- Water & wastewater (WWTP): neutralisation, chemical dosing, cleaning loops
- Surface finishing / electroplating: acid/alkaline baths recirculation
- Pilot & compact systems: skid-mounted units and auxiliary services
Available Materials
The BX Series pumps are available in a complete range of solid thermoplastics to ensure maximum resistance against corrosion, abrasion, and chemical attack. Each material is selected according to the fluid composition, operating temperature, and mechanical requirements of the process.
- PP (Polypropylene): Excellent resistance to acids and alkalis; ideal for general-purpose chemical transfer.
- UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene): Superior abrasion resistance for slurries and solids-laden fluids.
- PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride): Outstanding chemical stability against strong oxidising agents and high temperatures.
- E-CTFE (Ethylene Chlorotrifluoroethylene): Exceptional resistance to solvents, chlorinated compounds, and corrosive vapours.
- PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride): Economical option for mild corrosive solutions and water-based fluids.
- PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene): Total inertness and maximum corrosion resistance for the most aggressive chemicals.
Mixed configurations can also be supplied to optimise cost and chemical compatibility, such as PP or PE casings with PVDF or PTFE wetted parts.
